A Life in Service
From a village in India to the world's capitals.
Born in Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Paul began his mission among the poorest communities of South Asia. That same calling now takes him from cabinet rooms in Washington and Brussels to slums in Mumbai, relief camps in Haiti and youth academies across East Africa.
He is known for direct, unvarnished moral conviction — and for being one of the few voices welcomed in places others cannot reach.
Biography
The world's most popular evangelist.

Early Life
Anand Kilari Paul was born on September 25, 1963 in the small village of Chittivalsa in the State of Andhra Pradesh, India, into a Hindu family. His parents, Barnabas and Santhosamma, converted to Christianity in 1966.
Paul became a Christian in March 1971 at the age of eight. He travelled with his evangelist father to hundreds of villages across India, sharing the gospel with non-Christian communities. At nineteen, he entered full-time ministry — a calling he has never set down.
Political Life
Dr. Paul has been active in Indian state politics as a member of the Praja Shanti Party. The party was founded to redeem people from slavery, promote equality across all faiths and castes, and to establish a true democracy that serves the forgotten.
He has stood publicly with the marginalized, urging leaders to put people before power and dignity before politics.
Global Peace One
Through charitable contributions, several of Dr. Paul's backers helped acquire a Boeing 747SP aircraft he named Global Peace Ambassadors, flown under the call sign Global Peace One. The aircraft carried aid to disaster areas and to people in need across the developing world.
It became one of the most visible symbols of large-scale, non-state humanitarian airlift in the early 2000s.
Global Peace Initiative
Five years after launching an effort to rescue street children, Dr. Paul met Mother Teresa — an encounter that changed his life forever. Through her example he glimpsed the unlimited potential of a single committed person to change lives, social structures and entire nations.
From that meeting a simple mission was born: bring peace to the world through the Prince of Peace and the service of others. He dedicated himself to those suffering under economic, social, political or natural conditions beyond their control.
That call has grown into a worldwide grassroots movement spanning 148 countries and every major faith. Hundreds of presidents, prime ministers, legislators and governors have joined his initiatives over the years to dignify every human being with peace, health, opportunity and security.
U.S. Congressmen, Senators, and Governors — along with dozens of Indian Members of Parliament and African Presidents — have travelled with Dr. Paul throughout the third world as Peace Ambassadors. Millions hear his radical message of true peace and service to one's neighbor every year.
